Secrets that strike very near to Avery's own heart. Sheridan, one of the most dangerous and enigmatic villains of the story, is given a much greater page-count and readers at last come to understand the reason for betraying her homeland to the Octung Empire and their foul alien gods.
On the minus side, the book is a bit on the short side, but a lot of action is packed into the screen.

I read all 5 of these books and I was sorry I continued to the end. I found books 2 through 5 to be somewhat repetitive and it seemed like there was a lot of extra adjectives and adverbs. I found the descriptive narrative to be tiresome.
With this volume, the enthralling epic continues, with new twists of plot and new sides to the characters revealed. The series continues with what draws us in in the first place, and as before keeps us on edge for whatever comes in the next installment.
I have read this series as far as I can and am anxiously awaiting the sixth segment to come out. I can't describe how enthralling this series is. Once you start reading it you won't be able to stop. It's sic and strange and wonderful. Get it and read the whole series, you won't be sorry.
Another great installment, deeper and darker than ever. Running, chasing, escaping by a hair's breadth - and delving ever deeper into the character's thoughts and minds. If you think you knew everyone already, be ready for some surprises.
There is a reason Jack Conner is becoming one of my favorite authors ever! The story of the Atomic Sea continues to get better and better, full of action and suspense. An original and well written work that grabs you and doesn't let go.
