Not just a romantic comedy, this book is a very fine feel-good story. Emma Heatherington smartly weaves together the lives of four mismatched and diverse females, each struggling with her own issues. It is super funny, bold, relatable, and poignant. In between the comedy and romance, and never coming across as holier-than-thou or preachy, she gives a voice to dark topics like domestic violence, bullying, family turmoil, depression, and even unplanned pregnancy is such real-life situations. I was sucked into the lives of everyday women with their everyday problems, and felt compelled to cheer on the lasses as they each found the courage to search for what was most important to them and confront their demons. What I enjoyed most was not only the romance, because aren’t we all a sucker for romance?, but more importantly, the way each woman is portrayed with her strengths and weaknesses, doubts and joys, and highs and lows. I see bits and pieces of my own characteristics and personality in each of them. The writing is so natural and flows with such a relaxed, comfortable yet exciting pace. It never felt forced and kept me turning the page. As my first Emma Heatherington novel, I’m now hooked and can’t wait to read more of this brilliant, strong, female writer. And oh my gosh, I definitely want to go to “Somewhere in Donegal” and find Marco for myself! Excellent job by this author. I was highly entertained.Product details

An interesting, well thought out story that held my interest. M. Francis Sneyd
I really liked this book. It was not my usual genre, but it got into the story. This book is about four very different women who all had issues in their personal lives. They go on an overnight trip and the events that happen make them realize some truths Lin their lives.
Four women who have settled into lives with no future...and one divorced, one battered wife. An old schoolmates runs into the sensible one and it's all uphill from there. Great read!! Glad this Irish lass was published!!! Great character subjects. I found nothing but feelings for all of them! Please read this!!
I guess I can't figure out why 4 women , on a night out, have to get smashing drunk.. So drunk that they can't stand up, and are vomiting in the street. All the women were smart, clever, and easy to like. But the storyline didn't do them justice. In fact their boozing night was actually boring compared to the rest of the book.
This is set in Ireland, so it's different. With pubs and small town life, and with family living and subjects. Loved it with a good cup of tea. and some small talk.
